1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote we collect your name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, state of residence, preferred contact time, and your answers to questions about the coverage you're exploring (for example, your approximate mortgage balance, the coverage amount you're considering, or your retirement income goals). Your date of birth is required because insurance rates are priced on exact age; we use it to prepare your quote and to confirm you are old enough to apply.
Health-related information. If you ask us about a life insurance product, after you submit a quote request we may invite you to answer optional questions about tobacco or nicotine use, general health, medical conditions and prescription medications. This information is collected only with your knowledge, only to help a licensed agent identify carriers and plans you're likely to qualify for, and only when you choose to provide it. You may skip any or all of these questions. We do not ask these questions of people requesting an annuity quote, because annuities are not medically underwritten.
Consent records. When you agree to be contacted we record the consent language you saw, the time you agreed, the page address, and technical details such as your browser type and IP address. If enabled, we use a third-party consent-verification service (TrustedForm by ActiveProspect) that records how the form was completed to document your consent.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites we collect device and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, including pages viewed, referring site, campaign identifiers (such as UTM parameters, gclid or fbclid), and approximate location derived from IP address.
2. Analytics and advertising technologies
The Site uses two third-party measurement tools. Each is named here so you know exactly who receives information about your visit.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — measures how the Site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, approximate location from IP address, and the steps you complete in the quote form. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measures the performance of advertising we run on Facebook and Instagram and allows us to show ads to people who have visited the Site. Meta's privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
What these tools do not receive. We do not send your name, phone number, email address, or any of your health or medical answers to Google or Meta. The event information we send identifies which product you were exploring and which step of the form you reached — nothing more. We have not enabled Meta's automatic advanced matching feature, which would otherwise transmit hashed contact details.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the Site does not load the Meta Pixel at all and runs Google Analytics with advertising features disabled. We record whether a GPC signal was present when you submitted a quote request.
3. How we use information
- To prepare insurance quotes and connect you with a licensed agent, including by phone, text message and email as described in the consent you provide.
- To submit applications to insurance carriers you choose to apply with.
- To document and honor your consent and communication preferences, including opt-outs.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site and measure advertising performance.
- To comply with insurance, privacy and telemarketing laws and respond to lawful requests.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your quote request, and we do not share it with other insurance agencies or lead marketplaces. Note that the advertising cookies described in section 2 may qualify as a "sale" or as "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under California, Colorado and similar state laws, even though no money changes hands and no contact details are transmitted. You can opt out at any time — see our Do Not Sell or Share My Information page. We share information only with: (a) licensed agents affiliated with us who prepare your quote; (b) insurance carriers, when you choose to apply for coverage; (c) service providers that help us operate — for example our customer-relationship platform, telephony and text-messaging provider, consent-verification vendor, analytics and hosting providers — each of which is permitted to use the information only to provide services to us; and (d) regulators, courts or law enforcement where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of any person.
Health-related information you provide is shared only with the licensed agent handling your request and with carriers you choose to apply with. It is never used for advertising and is never disclosed to analytics or advertising partners.
5. Text messaging (SMS) terms
By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box you agree to receive calls and text messages from us and our affiliated licensed agents about insurance products, which may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or pre-recorded voice. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The full text messaging program terms — including the message types we send, frequency and how to stop — are in section 5 of our Terms of Use.
6. Your choices
- Calls and texts: reply STOP to any text, tell any agent you no longer wish to be contacted, or email [email protected]. We maintain an internal do-not-call list and honor the National Do Not Call Registry as required by law.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Cookies and advertising: you can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info. Google Analytics offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Access, correction and deletion: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations. See "Your state privacy rights" below.
7. Your state privacy rights
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Florida and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Certain health-related information may be treated as sensitive personal information under these laws, and we collect it only with your consent and only for the purposes described above. To exercise any of these rights, visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Information page or contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Information we receive in connection with an insurance application may also be subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and state insurance privacy regulations, which provide separate protections and may limit some of the rights described above.
8. Data retention and security
We keep quote requests and consent records for as long as needed to serve you and to demonstrate compliance with telemarketing and insurance laws — typically five years from your last interaction with us, or longer where the law requires. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
